According to the Ministry of Energy of Georgia (ITDC), imports of petroleum products into the country in the first half of 2014 increased by 8% as compared with that in 2013 the volume is now imported energy is 384.8 thousand tons.
Union petroleum importers Georgia (SING) reported that the volume of imported gasoline in Georgia in 2014 amounted to 171.9 thousand tons of diesel fuel - 212.9 thousand tons.
The main importers of petroleum products in Georgia are Romania, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Russia and Turkey. The share of Romania accounts for about 36% of the total supplied to Georgia gasoline and diesel fuel. Azerbaijan Georgia provides 24% of the fuel, mostly gasoline A-Class.
In the first half of 2014, imports of gasoline Regular A-91 was 69%, A-95 Premium - 28.5% and Super A-98 - 2.5%. Supply of imported diesel accounted for 65% of the L-62 and 35% of Euro diesel.To list
