Ministry of Energy recommends oil companies to increase petrol reserves

Ministry of Energy of Russia sent oil companies letters of recommendation with a proposal to increase the volume of gasoline stocks.

Ministry of Energy recommends an increase in the gasoline pool to a total volume of 1.75 million tons. In fact, the recommended volumes remained at the level of 2013, when the Ministry proposes to increase the reserves from 1.25 to 1.7 million tons of gasoline. However, the oil companies were able to replenish their reserves only up to 1.5 million tons of gasoline by autumn 2013

Energy also recommends that oil companies restock diesel fuel to a volume of 0.75 million tonnes by November 1, 2014

Russian Energy Minister meets annually department monitoring the production and consumption of petroleum products. Since 2013 the Ministry of Energy has put into practice for oil companies to prepare recommendations with regards to annual rates of fuel reserves in Russia.
